It was finally time for our little chicks to part ways. Our brooder was the perfect size for the seventeen little chicks we brought home, but now that they are getting bigger space was at a premium and it was time to separate the Weaver and Ehrlich flocks. Isabella and I loaded up her twelve little ones and they made the long journey (300 yards up the street) to their new home.
Chicks in Transport
I have to admit, I was sorry to see the little ones go. I fear our brood is a little sad. Perhaps additional chicks next spring ;-)
The Weaver Flock. . . small and a little lonely
I think they're luxuriating in their spacious digs... and give them the babycake thing and all their troubles will be forgotten :)
